Job Description
Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Truck Lease Salesperson to join our team. This position is a road-sales type role and so it involves being on the road a majority of the time (local- not overnight) making appointments, seeing customers/scrap yards to close deals.
Seeking candidates with sales skills and strong communication over the phone and in-person. We want each person to be their own entrepreneur and build their own book of business. The company will guide and train but the right candidate will have to be self-motivated.
You will be responsible for promoting and selling, building relationships, and managing accounts throughout the sales cycle. You will also be responsible for keeping up-to-date with product knowledge, market trends, and industry developments.
Monday-Friday 8 am to 5 pm
Salary range: $50,000 to 70,000 plus commission
Benefits: paid holiday and vacation, 401k, medical and dental
Responsibilities:
Prospect and qualify potential customers in the New Jersey and New York areas
Build and maintain relationships w/ customers throughout the sales cycle
Generate leads and schedule appointments to meet with potential customers
Build your own book of business through effective prospecting and account management
Meet and exceed sales targets on a monthly and quarterly basis
Keep up-to-date with product knowledge, market trends, and industry developments
Provide exceptional customer service to new and existing customers
Work closely with our operations team to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales or related field (experience in truck sales/leasing a huge plus)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve sales targets
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record - Commercial driver's License is a plus - or be willing to obtain.
- Knowledge of the trucking industry and related equipment is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred Competitive salary and commission structure offered, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and 401(k) plans.
