SUMMARY: Support individuals to achieve their deserved quality of life and ensure optimal health and safety, by providing prescribed support and supervision. Manage Recycling and Disposal activities for Orange Grove and municipal citizens.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- HEALTH AND SAFETY/CARE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Programming Outcomes:
- Support individuals in meeting their personal outcomes
- Monitor and record data on personal outcomes
- Supporting Roles (for the individuals):
- Provide the appropriate level of support the situation requires according to individual support plan or health status
- Support individuals in choice making
- Support and assist the individuals in their work
- Support and assist community integration
- Remain on shift for entire schedule
- Be attentive to and report any health and safety concerns of individuals
- Ensure the safety of all individuals in case of emergency events
- Follow emergency procedures accurately and promptly, such as CPR, First Aid, Heimlich Maneuver, and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
- Observe and record accurate information on seizure reports
- Practice Universal Precautions
- Support positive life style choices
- Keep all chemicals and cleaners securely locked up
- Complete all required electronic and written documentation per shift
C. Physical Requirements:

- Community and work:
- Sweep, mop, dust daily as needed
- Empty trash and pick up litter
- Wear safety vest and closed toed shoes at all times
- Comply with City SOPs
- Disinfect common and shared surfaces and items daily
- Be alert to and report maintenance needs and safety concerns
- TRANSPORTATION AND VEHICLE MAINTENANCE
- Maintain a valid driver's license with an F endorsement and liability insurance; inform agency immediately if license or insurance is revoked, suspended or expired
- Drive vehicle safely per environmental conditions and defensive driving guidelines
- Keep exterior and interior of vehicle clean
- No eating, drinking, or smoking allowed in vehicles at any time
- Use of cellphone or other electronic devices is not allowed while driving an OGC vehicle per OGC policy
- Keep vehicle fuel tank at least ½ full at all times
- Operate vehicle per local, state and federal laws and per OGC policy
