The truck driver is an essential member of Custodial and Special Events Services team. The team is responsible for providing vehicular services necessary to preserve and enhance the University’s plant
assets and to sustain an environment conducive to individual and community development. The truck driver is expected to perform a variety of general and specific services. Must be able to work the third shift 2pm - 10:30pm.Responsibilities:
The Facilities Maintenance and Operations Department strives to provide high quality, integrated services to enable the University to maintain, operate, and clean its buildings, utilities and grounds at the highest levels of excellence, safety, and efficiency. In order to accomplish this mission, the department operates on a limited 24-7 basis and provides routine and preventive maintenance as well as emergency maintenance to mitigate and/or eliminate facilities hazards.

- Physically pick up, load and transport trash, waste and recyclable products to disposal areas and then separate and dispose into proper compactor/dumpster
- Pull trash from exterior containers when full
- Physically pick up, load and transport furniture and equipment to various destinations on and off campus when needed
- Deliver cleaning supplies to various parts of campus
- Clean lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators and stairways
- Sweep, scrub, wax and polish floor various types of floors
- Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies
- Snow/Ice removal
At least one (1) year of truck/delivery driving experience in a commercial/university environment and at two (2) years of cleaning experience to include cleaning, stripping and waxing of floors.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and work orders.
- Ability to write basic sentences in order to close out work orders.
- Ability to present/pass on information to co-workers and members of FMO Facility Services Desk.
- Ability to perform assigned duties independently and with minimum supervision.
- Willingness to perform within all guidelines of existing University policies and/or union contracts
