SalaryClassic Rock Fabrication is a fast-paced manufacturer and installer of granite, quartz, laminate, and solid surface countertops. We are seeking a licensed CDL Class A Driver for Intracompany Transfers. The Driver will be responsible for driving from Harrisburg to Mechanicsburg, PA and Pittsburgh, PA, and/or Sewell, New Jersey and back daily. Delivery location will vary based upon transportation needs for the day. Duties include delivery of countertops to Classic Rock locations and loading and offloading material. Successful applicants are required to pass a drug test/DOT physical and have/maintain an acceptable driving record. Great customer service skills are highly valued in this position.
Responsibilities
- Transport stone slabs and finished countertops to and from the Harrisburg location to other company locations in Mechanicsburg, Pittsburgh, and Sewell.
- Inspect truck for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance as requested.
- Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving.
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with Company policies and procedures.
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
- Collect and verify delivery instructions.
- Report defects, accidents or violations.
- Uphold Classic Rock's Core Values.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- Acceptable motor vehicle driving record that meets Company Fleet Policy requirements
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
- Valid Certified Driver's License - Class A
