Trimmer/Upholsterer Assistant

Duties:

• Assist Lead Upholsterer: Work closely with experienced upholsterers in the creation and installation of custom and original vehicle interiors.
• Material Preparation: Prepare materials such as leather, fabric, and other upholstery materials for use in automotive projects.
• Tool Maintenance: Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and ready for use at all times.
• Shop Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Assist in Custom Projects: Collaborate on unique and challenging custom upholstery projects, contributing to the artistic and functional aspects of the final product.
• Learn and Grow: Stay informed about new techniques, materials, and trends in the automotive upholstery industry. Actively seek opportunities for skill development.
• Additional Upholstery Skills: Knowledge in other areas of upholstery is a significant plus and will be considered an asset.

Skills:

• Experience: Previous experience in automotive upholstery or related fields is preferred, but not required. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Passion for Upholstery: A genuine interest in the art of upholstery and a desire to learn and grow in the field.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Detail-Oriented: Pay meticulous attention to detail, ensuring the highest quality in all projects.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.

• Knowledge: Familiarity and use of power and hand tools. Ability to measure and work with measurements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
