Trim Saw Operator (Night Shift) - Natchez Industrial
Night Shift hours are 6:00 PM - 4:30 AM
General Responsibilities

• Work safely - know, understand, and follow all safety rules
• Trim lumber to straighten rough edges and remove defects, using circular saws
• Handle, sort, and trim lumber by dimension, species and grade
• Clean up equipment daily
• Record and maintain daily log
• Perform weekly and routine maintenance on machine
• Safely maintain flow of the product
• Utilize hand tools cleaning up sawmill debris

Qualifications

• Experience operating a Trim Saw
• Must be able to identify log species
• Enthusiasm for being part of a team and working in a team oriented environment
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and willing to take initiative
• Ability to cross-train
• Ability to make decisions quickly utilizing hand eye hand foot coordination
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs
• Ability to exert muscle force in repeated or continuous motion for long periods
• Ability to stand for an extended period of time
