Thank you for your interest in applying for the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) Tribal Affairs Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) position in the California Department of Social Services' (CDSS) Office of Tribal Affairs (OTA). The OTA is looking for a collaborative self-starter to join the team. Applicants will support policy analysis, program design, grant management, program oversight, and capacity building to support service providers and serve Tribes and county child welfare agencies. Working Conditions
The job may require frequent travel within the State. This position requires fingerprint clearance. The Tribal Affairs AGPA must be able to work well with others and have excellent interpersonal communication skills. The AGPA must be able to work independently and assess/address situations with a minimum amount of supervision. Must be able to work in an office setting, with artificial light and temperature control. Daily access to and use of a personal computer and telephone is essential. Sitting and standing requirements are consistent with office work.

Please describe:
i. Relevant experience working with Tribes and tribal communities.
ii. Your experience with or knowledge about the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) including developing and/or providing training for the ICWA and the number of months/ years of experience.
iii. Your experience researching, analyzing, and/or developing and providing feedback on policies or protocols including the number of months/years of experience.
iv. Your knowledge of working with tribally approved homes (TAH).
This position is subject to fingerprinting clearance by the Department of Justice.
