Trial Paralegal

The Morgan Law Group is a reputable and dynamic law firm committed to providing exceptional legal services. We are seeking for an experienced paralegal to join our trial department. Paralegals work directly with our attorneys, assisting with ongoing litigation and preparing for trial. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, responsible, and ready to contribute to our team's success.

Position Summary:

• Paralegals work directly with our attorneys to assist them with ongoing cases and prepare them for trial if needed. The ideal candidate for this position is organized, professional, and responsible.

Essential Job Functions:

• Document management using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe
• E-file legal documents in Florida’s E-Portal System.
• Assist attorneys in preparing for trials
• Draft legal court documents, such as pleadings, such witness, and exhibit list
• Send out correspondence to parties/non-parties.
• Communicate with clients
• Prepare Trial Notebooks and Exhibit Lists.
• Complete trial logistic tasks.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience/Requirements:

• 3-5 years of litigation experience required
• Experience managing cases from inception through trial and closing
• Experience with the discovery process
• Experience e-filing in both state and federal courts a plus
• Proficient in Clio, or other case management software
• Ability to manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to communicate with clients and co-workers effectively
• Possess excellent organization skills and be able to multitask and prioritize workload
• Team-oriented
