Triage Medical Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Triage/Medical Assistant with OB/Gyn experience to join our healthcare team. The Medical Assistant (Certified preferred) will work closely with our physicians to provide exceptional patient care.

Duties:
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments
- Triage patients through the portal and on the phone
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Take vital signs, record medical histories, and update patient information accurately
- Perform Non-stress tests on obstetrical patients
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing (including phlebotomy)
- Assist with patient education by explaining procedures, medications, and treatment plans
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.

Skills:
- Proficient in medication administration and dosage calculations
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to provide compassionate care
- Knowledge of Athena EMR desired
- Knowledge of human anatomy and OB/Gyn medical terminology
- Team player
- Ability to be cross-trained
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
