HII Mission Technologies is currently seeking a Treasury Financial Analyst in the Northern Virginia area.
In this role, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for the daily cash management activities including all cash related transactions. The selected candidate will report to the Assistant Controller, supporting the treasury operation and assisting in developing the treasury function to find and implement process improvements. This role will be required to work cross-functionally and with key stakeholders (accounting, FP&A, tax). This individual will be responsible for the execution and ownership for cash processing (ACH, wires, and checks), fraud prevention and forecasting.
Individual must be proficient in excel, understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, strong ability to research, knowledge with Deltek Costpoint and ability to manage various projects at the same time.
Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!
• Prepare and support cash forecasting on a monthly basis by business unit.
• Daily download of bank export (bank statements)
• Review and execute cash transactions and prepare bank accounts for outgoing cash requirements.
• Review and complete bank reconciliations
• Perform weekly tie-out of cash balances with corporate treasury.
• Prepare the cash journal entries to be entered by the GL team.
• Research and validate ACH returns and positive pay transactions.
• Participate in the trial balance flux analysis.
• Prepare and submit quarterly reports as requested by corporate and the division controller.
• Assist in identifying process improvement and participate in special projects
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure end to end process flows are performed according to internal controls/processes.
• Collaborate with the internal and external auditors for successful completion of the annual audit.
• Support all departments with treasury related issues.
What you must have:
• 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of GAAP
• Strong Microsoft excel skills
Bonus Points/ Preferred Requirements:
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Experience leading and mentoring a team for successful completion of projects
Physical Requirements
Normally assigned to perform work in an office environment. Only electrical hazards and other minor potential hazards normally found in an office environment are anticipated. May be required to travel to job sites or other offices. During job site visits, paint fumes, welding, and other shipboard or shore based hazards may be present.
