Job Description:
You are:
As a Treasury Analyst you will work with the Treasury Team to support the overall capital markets strategy of Pitney Bowes, including interest expense forecasting, debt and interest payments, accruals, reporting, foreign exchange rates, rating agency modeling, and support for the Finance Committee. Team members are given significant responsibilities and the ability to contribute meaningfully in both Capital Markets and Global Cash Management.
The wage range for this position is $65k to $85k/yr, with the actual pay dependent on your skills and experience as they relate to the job requirements and the location where you will be performing the job.
You will:
Forecast interest expense and interest income
Report on interest rate swaps
Maintain capital lease forecast
Manage general ledger balances, including booking journal (and SAP) entries related to interest expense and interest income, working with Accounting to resolve any discrepancies
Run monthly FX balance sheet and P&L rates
Ensure all interest rate hedging, debt principal and interest expense payments are processed timely and accurately
Process all quarterly Accounting deliverables, including financial reporting support schedules, SEC filings, and quarterly Q&A earning calls
Complete all debt compliance reporting, calculations, and certifications, including coordination of the quarterly debt compliance survey
Process and track share repurchase activity
Support capital markets strategy for senior management and the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors
Support overall departmental projects to help drive business unit objectives
Troubleshoot debt payment issues with the bank, Accounting and/or our IT support team
Understand and execute policies and SOX controls; assist with audits related to debt
Help maintain desk top procedures to keep them current
Provide treasury support for the month-end close process with our Accounting teams
Perform ad hoc analysis as needed
Cross train with Cash Operations Team
Your background:As a Treasury Analyst, you have:
Bachelors degree with a preferred focus on accounting, finance or related field
2-5 years of experience in Treasury or other financial area with exposure to finance, accounting, cash management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, project management and/or Treasury operating platforms
Solid financial modeling and analytical skills needed
Be able to work under pressure, adapt to change, and multitask, in fast paced work environment with daily time sensitive deadlines is required
Strong open communication skills and ability to perform well in dynamic matrix business environment, often across cross-functional teams, are critical and necessary for success in this role
Must be comfortable working independently as well as within a group, and be a self-starter with a willingness to learn and grow in the position
Be able to see the larger picture while understanding the impact to cash, paying attention to detail is critical
Ability to be able to manage projects and push to completion
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word are required
Preferred Experience in SAP and online banking systems a plus
