Coyle Outside has provided Outdoor Parkour and Improvisational Movement camps through partnerships with various Parks and Recreation Departments throughout Oregon since 2017. Past travelling instructor teams have included professional parkour athletes including successful competitors from American Ninja Warrior and the founder of ExploreParkour.com. The right candidate will have teaching experience and be able to "hit the ground running" with a minimum of training outside of policy and procedure/admin training (we do have reference materials and past instructors available to provide scope/context training.)
Instructors adapt, modify and improve existing curriculum to provide participants a challenging, fun and progressive skills building experience through each week long program. Camps occur at different sites weekly requiring instructors to travel weekly living by camping or 'van life'. This job works best for individuals who are resourceful, autonomous and flexible, and are stimulated by a dynamic working environment.
Sites include public parks in Bend, West Linn, Corvallis, McMinnville, Lake Oswego. Instructors work as part of a two person team (partners encouraged to apply) working with up to 14 participants Mon-Fri from 9a-3p. Instructors travel with/transport gear for the camps from week to week. Gear is provided and Coyle Outside has a vehicle (minivan) that instructors have access to for work/camping.
Instructors also plan fun activities and games, and provide education on movement in the outdoors. Some equipment setup required. The ideal candidate loves movement, the outdoors and wants to share their passion with participants!

Responsibilities:
- Remote regular communication with Supervisor
- Track attendance, roster, incidents
- Excellent risk management
- Plan and facilitate games, sports, and other outdoor activities
- Assess and adapt curriculum to weekly changes in participant groups interest and ability levels
- Monitor campers and escort them to various activities
- Provide fun learning opportunities
- Set up, take down, and maintain camp equipment
- Communicate with parents, public park goers and parks and recreation department staff
- Follow Coyle Outside policy/procedure and safety guidelines
- Previous experience as Parkour/Movement Instructor or in a similar position
- Ability to live on / from the road through the Summer (accommodations are not provided - vehicle available for use/van life)
- Highly organized and responsible
- Excellent communication skills
- First-aid and CPR-certified
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
