ID Plans is the longest-standing, most reputable data analytics and property information provider for Commercial Real Estate (CRE) and we need expert communicators with a passion for accuracy to help create online site maps for commercial properties, such as shopping centers, warehouses, and business parks.

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

Our Property Data Specialists accurately survey, measure, review, and record data on every element of a commercial property, inside and out, including parking areas, rooftops, HVAC units, landscape, utility meters, dumpsters, bathroom measurements, window heights, outlets, and more. Using 3D imagery, measuring tools, cameras, maps, web data, and more, our specialists record and report on every aspect of a commercial property to create virtual tours and digital site plans.

 

DAY-TO-DAY TASKS

  • Accurately record property information and details to create virtual tours, interactive maps, and highly accurate digital site plans using proprietary software, computer equipment such as iPads and laptop PC’s, hand tools, 3D cameras, and other measuring devices.
  • Occasionally travel (typically driving within a 50-mile radius) to commercial sites to gather property asset information and other data.
  • Professionally and frequently communicate with team to update progress, respond to requests, and clarify information.
  • Politely and professionally communicate and engage with property managers, utility service providers, site security, members of the public, and internal team members, as needed.
  • Meet performance expectations for quality, accuracy of data, communication, and efficiency.
  • When necessary, safely climb ladders onto commercial rooftops (up to 25-feet in height) and be prepared to work outside in any type of weather.
  • Accurately find, measure, survey, map, track, record, and report every site detail, including mapping of landscapes, tree lines, shrubbery, pathways, number of parking spaces, speed bumps, fire safety equipment information, location of access panels, dumpsters, signage, and equipment data such as size, location, manufacturer, model, and serial, and other details.
  • Measure and record wall lengths, room layouts, window heights, restroom areas, closets, doors, wall outlets, vents, ceiling tiles and heights, lighting information, and all pertinent site details.
  • Attend video conference meetings, team calls, trainings, and participate in discussion channels.
  • Complete assigned training on time and demonstrate proficiency with safety, customer service, communication, technical skills, and other proficiencies.

 

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Superb written and spoken communication skills.
  • Willing and able to travel about half the time, usually local travel, many times overnight; by driving personal vehicle or flying (mileage and reasonable travel expenses reimbursed), home most nights and weekends.
  • Reliable vehicle that can carry a 6-foot extension ladders.
  • Strong iPad and computer skills, with proven knowledge using tablets and stylus pens, updating apps without help, connecting to WiFi and Bluetooth, smartphone navigation and messaging.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, even when working outside.
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds without assistance.
  • This is a highly autonomous role that requires excellent organization, time management, self-discipline, and self-motivation.
  • Familiarity with measuring tools, 3D cameras, and aerial or topography maps is a plus. Prior experience in property surveying, data collection, mapping, or similar roles is advantageous but not necessarily required.

 

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • Base Salary: $20 to $25 per hour, depending on experience and location

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (with or without reasonable accommodations)

  • Ability to climb, stand, sit, or walk for extended periods (up to three hours at a time)
  • Some bending and twisting may be required (for example, to file paperwork)
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity for intensive computer tasks (such as typing, using common software, viewing reports, dashboards, and websites, as well as handling computer peripherals such as a mouse and keyboard)
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. without assistance (such as to maneuver ladders, set up camera tripods, carry 3D Cameras, mounts, and demo tables)
