Position Summary:
Intermediate to Advanced welding level position where the primary role is to ensure proper weld preparation, quality welding, fabrication/fitting, finishing, fit-up of assemblies, installation and finishing of components.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Welding and fitting of stainless steel components including tubing, pipe, sheet, decking, etc.
- Performs TIG welding techniques to quality standards.
- Install and repair stainless steel process equipment.
- Loading and unloading of tools.
- Rigging/setting of process equipment.
- Operating industrial hand powered tools, grinders, drills, etc.
- Grinding and polishing of welds to company quality standards.
- Reads and understands layout drawings and PID’s to determine proper installation of piping and equipment.
- Handles raw materials on occasion and may need to prepare material for fabrication.
- Provides mentoring to Welder Trainees and leads by example through good technique and quality practices.
- Extensive travel throughout the United States.
- Ensures that work areas are clean and orderly.
- Complies with all Safety rules and regulations.
- Performs Duties as assigned by Supervisor
