Traveling Crusher Operator/Equipment Operator

Position Overview:

The Crusher Operator will be responsible for operating the crusher and assisting with the setup and tear-down of crushing, conveying, screening, and separating equipment. The Crusher Operator is a full-time position that requires travel, extended overnight stays, and overtime through peak season. This position has no supervisory responsibility.

Essential Duties and Functions:

• Be prompt and timely for all assigned shifts, schedules, and projects
• Assist with operating, setup and tear-down of crushing, conveying, screening, and separating equipment
• Operate all equipment in a safe and productive manner
• Keep equipment and job site clean using a skid steer and shovel
• Perform tasks such as replacing bearings and rollers, repairing and splicing conveyor belts, greasing equipment, and changing oil
• Complete pre and post-shift inspections and assist with maintenance or repair of equipment
• Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work (i.e. work in poor weather conditions or outside normal hours)

Position Requirements:

• Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test
• Basic maintenance skills
• Lift heavy objects, tear-down, maintain, repair, and clean equipment
• Equipment operation experience
• Understand instructions from supervisory positions, both written and verbal
