- Night: 7:00pm - 7:30am
Overview: Registered Nurses provide specialized attention to patients transitioning out of intensive care units.
Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Nursing, BSN preferred
- NYS Licensed Registered Nurse
- American Heart Association: BLS & ACLS
- 2 years of recent (paid) experience in one of the following units: Stepdown, Cardiology, Tele or VAD
- Proof of full Covid-19 vaccination
Responsibilities:
- Checking patients' health status daily and making note of any changes or concerns
- Caring for multiple patients throughout the same shift, often varying in age and condition
- Monitoring patients with life-saving medical equipment such as IVs, catheters, feeding tubes and ventilators
- Responding to "code blue" alerts and other urgent situations
- Providing a comfortable and secure environment for the patient while acting as their advocate
