Responsibilities:
- Completes performance evaluations for all shift employees.
- Positively influences the quality and delivery of patient care.
- Provides complex care in various stages of the obstetric and neonatal progression of care which may include antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, well newborn, Special Care Nursery or Neonatal Intensive Care.
- Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
- Provides operative and postoperative care for the obstetric patient.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
Education & License Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or active matriculation in a Bachelors Degree in Nursing Program
- Documented previous experience or educational preparation to support credentials - NICU RN experience required
- NYS RN License
- BCLS -American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certificate - American Heart Association
