(Travel) Rn - Pcu/Stepdown

Evolve Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for an immediate PCU/Stepdon travel opportunity in a Rapid City suburb medical center. In this role the selected candidate will care for adults with a variety of diagnoses which include CHF, ARF, ESLD, DM, DKA, pneumonia, sepsis, GI bleed, syncope, chest pain, respiratory failure, COPD, arrhythmias, and delirium tremors. The unit cares for and manage the care of patients with chronic and/or acute illnesses who are experiencing acute problems that require complex assessments, intensive therapies and interventions, and moderate levels of nursing vigilance.

Equipment commonly used on this unit is Alaris Pump, EPIC, Kangaroo Pump, PCA & Epidurals, TR/Radial Bands, NGs, Chest Tubes, High Flow 02, Restraints, Midline and Central lines.

Also must float to the surge capacity COVID areas as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• 12 hour night shift coverage
• 13 week contract commitment
• 2 year of PCU experience
• ACLS & BLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Valid SD/Compact license
• Must demonstrate high level of detail orientation
• Must be current on basic technology, including entire Microsoft Office Suite, and other office technologies.
• Solid ability to handle highly confidential, sensitive information. Position requires a high level of professionalism, tact, discretion, and integrity.
• Must have the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities; demonstrate resourcefulness and good problem-solving skills
