Job description

AAA Club Alliance is looking for a Travel Quality Control Specialis t to join our Travel Services team! This position will be a hybrid role with the flexibility to work from home 2 days during the week and report to the Wilmington, DE office location 3 days.

The Travel Quality Control Specialist s erves as the primary resource for Quality Control assistance in travel related functions including travel files, travel financial validation, and auditing. This position will work with Travel Services leadership, Distribution Management, Travel Accounting, and Audit to ensure integrity of travel files and financials.

Work Schedule: This will be a full-time opportunity and the hours will be Monday- Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM EST

Primary responsibilities :

  • Ensures prompt action and response to travel financial inquiries from Distribution Management including Accounts Receivable-Accounts Payable (ARAP), Commission, and invoicing using a variety of travel/AAA technologies including but not limited to Travel Syndication Technology (TST), Global Distribution Systems (GDS), Vendor Systems, Travel Accounting Forms, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), DocuWare, and back office systems, such as Globalware.

  • Collaborates with Travel Accounting to support the research and correction of ARAP items. Identifies and reports any reoccurring issues or audit concerns.

  • Reviews and reports on Audit Flagged File responses to ensure proper clarification and identify any audit concerns.

  • Monitors void, cancellation, refund, and other financials to identify any potential fraud or areas that could be further automated to avoid advisor intervention.

  • Utilizes travel technology to preemptively identify travel files not in compliance. Reports concerns to audit and retail management as needed.

  • Monitors non-credit card payments to ensure accuracy of collection and accounting.

  • In conjunction with Manager of Travel Technology and Processes and Travel Accounting, develops user documentation and procedures for Retail Distribution for travel accounting and travel files.

  • Serves as the primary contact for Variable Pay and Commission questions/reporting from other departments.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent in technical training; equivalent education and experience also considered in lieu of degree.

  • 5+ years of experience working in the travel industry, including work with a central reservation and ticketing system.

  • Certified Travel Associate (CTA) designation required within 2 years of starting position.

  • Ability to interact with individuals at various levels in the organization and utilize analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Working knowledge of travel industry payment processes and regulations such as Airline Reporting Corporation (ARC), International Airlines Travel Agent Network (IATAN), Department of transportation (DOT), etc.

  • Demonstrated ability to monitor user environments and prioritize requests for assistance.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Good analytical skills and the ability to work well with a team.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

  • Notary Public designation preferred.

  • Proficiency in travel systems, including but not limited to Travel Syndication Technology (TST), GDS (such as Travelport, Smartpoint), CRM, POS, and Globalware (back office product). Ability to quickly learn and embrace new technologies.
