Travel Nursing Assignment – Pediatric ICU Unit
**Make up $3,000 per week**
Start Date: 5/15/2023
Shift: Night Shift 7p-7a
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Travel Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric ICU team. This is a temporary contract position for a duration of 13 weeks with the possibility of an extension. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a mixed medical/surgical Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and be willing to occasionally float to the Cardiac ICU as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill children and adolescents in the PICU
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medication and monitor patients for adverse reactions
- Monitor and interpret vital signs and laboratory results
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations
- Participate in patient and family education
- Assist with the discharge planning process
Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Pediatric ICU
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certification
- Ability to read and interpret electrocardiograms (ECG)
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Willingness to float to CICU as needed
