U.S. Nursing is seeking experienced and self-motivated travel MRI Technologists for a potential strike in the fall.
MRI Technologist Qualifications:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) certification
- BLS
- Minimum two years of recent MRI scanning experience, within the past two years.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology.
In addition you must:
- Commit to a full 9 days away from home, one U.S. Nursing receives the official 10-days notice.
- Be available to work ANY shift. U.S. Nursing does not guarantee shift placement.
- Hand-carry your complete file.
- Not be CURRENTLY WORKING or IN PROCESS for any Fastaff assignment.
MRI Technologist Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment for procedure, check that the scanner is functioning properly and sterilized for the next patient.
- Greet patients and prepare them for the scans. Obtain patient history for review. Address any questions and concerns of the patient.
- Mix chemicals for contrast dyes correctly and administer the dyes through intravenous injections.
- Operate MRI scanning equipment.
- Read pulse sequences and images.
- Accurately perform imaging procedures for head and neck, spine, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, and musculoskeletal system.
- Update patient records with results of scans.
