The Ultrasound Technician is a graduate of an accredited AMA school and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT), maintains a State License as a general radiographer, and/or is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS). The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatient and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: abdominal, pelvic, (gynecological & obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms. Additionally is proficient at scanning small parts (thyroid, breast & scrotum) along with ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis and aspirations.
Facility Requirements
- Must have AART/RDMS certification
- Must have Echo certification & experience
- Strong preference for Techs with General and/or Vascular Experience as well
- Must have BLS certifications, need to be through the AMA or AHA
- Must have 2 years recent US Tech/Echo experience
- Shifts will be Monday-Friday 7:30a-4p Rotating weekend call.
