Trauma Therapist, Child Advocacy Center Of Niagara

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center is recruiting for a Trauma Therapist for the Child Advocacy Center of Niagara to: Provide evidence-based trauma-specific individual counseling to children affected by trauma including physical abuse, sexual abuse, and family violence. Assess mental health functioning, develop and implement plan of care to meet identified needs. Provide crisis intervention to stabilize symptoms and maximize functioning. Participate on multidisciplinary child abuse team to provide expertise on behavioral health aspects of child abuse and maltreatment issues. Collaborate with service providers, including Child Protective Services and Law Enforcement in an effort to assure comprehensive treatment.

This is a grant funded position that does not require billing or units of service. Must be available Monday evenings. In person required. 3 days per week in Lockport 2 days per week in Niagara Falls with option for 4-day work week available.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
