Trauma Informed Care Manager
Fair Chance Works (FCW) is Cincinnati Works’ approach to violence reduction is considering violence as a community determinant of health - a direct result of generational lack of resources. We recognize the connection between inadequate education, high poverty, and high levels of crime. FCW focuses on improving the health of the entire community. FCW is a relationship-based, holistic lifetime model, providing one-on-one coaching support personalized for each Member. FCW’s services are designed to focus on healthy interventions for the trauma experienced by our Members, not the choices made due to their trauma. FCW will also provide support to families & loved ones in order to break the cycle, reduce recidivism, and better ensure their children will not become our future Members.
Ad part of our efforts to provide support to our Members, we are looking for an individual who is versed in Trauma Informed Care. As the Trauma Informed Care Manager, you would be responsible for implementing comprehensive training programs that equip the Fair Chance Works team with the necessary knowledge, skills, and sensitivity to effectively assist Members navigating traumatic experiences. This role ensures that staff are equipped to provide trauma-Informed Career guidance and empower individuals to overcome their challenges and achieve their personal and professional goals. This role will ensure that all services, projects, events, & delivery models include Trauma Informed Care principles & that those principles are implemented effectively and efficiently. You will also design and implement learning experiences for Members navigating through trauma.
The most qualified candidate must have
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, education, communications, or related field.
• Excellent communications skills, collaborative, proactive, detail oriented, highly engaging with strong EQ, and able to talk credibly with Members and staff on topics related to their workforce.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in curriculum development, training facilitation, or a related field. Experience in trauma-Informed Care, counseling, or career coaching is highly desirable.
• Knowledge: In-depth understanding of trauma-Informed Care principles, career development theories, and coaching techniques. Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver engaging and impactful presentations and training sessions.
• Empathy and Sensitivity: Demonstrated ability to empathize with individuals dealing with trauma and maintain a compassionate and supportive approach when addressing their career needs.
• Collaboration: Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of professionals and Members.
• Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt training programs based on the specific needs and requirements of different organizations and audiences.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Comfort working with technology and finding insights from data.
• Familiarity with the culture of poverty and working-class to understand the needs and behaviors of this demographic.
• Passion for a career in human services and workforce development.
