Form of workThe Van Driver/Transporter facilitates the clinical care and management of wheel chair and/or stretcher bound patients by providing safe and reliable transportation to and from Alamance Regional Cancer Center and Alamance Regional Medical Center Rehabilitation Department for treatment.
Accurately maintains Patient Transport Log.

Evaluates and adjusts routes and schedules to ensure that patients are transported to appointments in a timely manner.

Maintains open, reliable rapport with patients and staff members to ensure that changes in patient care/transport schedule are communicated and adjusted promptly.

Maintains safe driving record with no violations occurring while operating the Cancer Centers van. (Note: Any violations, changes or restrictions in personal driving privileges will be reported to the Business Manager or their designee immediately

Maintains van by operating with no less than 1/4 tank of gasoline at any time, arranging for oil change every 3000 miles, requesting servicing per manufacturer's recommendations, and washing, waxing, vacuuming as needed. Reports all mechanical problems with van immediately.

Provides safe transport for all patients requiring assistance to and from Alamance Regional Cancer Center and ARMC Rehab, utilizing proper body mechanics, lift techniques and transport devices so as to avoid injury to self and/or patients.

EXPERIENCE:No experience required
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Valid Driver's License | Valid Driver's License
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
Must have clean driving record. If driving Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and MVR must be approved by Risk Management.
