The Cayuga Centers CNY TFFC Team is looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting hard to place youth in the foster care system. We wrap services around the youth, their family/kin/caregivers, and the foster parents to get a child home or to a permanent home as soon as possible.
Transportation Visit Coach's are designed to support the youth by transporting and supervising family visits and/or appointments as needed. This staff member will serve as a positive adult role model to youth and their families, by providing a safe and positive environment that engages interest and promotes family bonding. The Transportation Visit Coach acts as an essential part of the overall CNY TFFC team whose ultimate goal is to ensure that everyone has a safe and structured visit while in our program.

How you get to use your skills...
- Demonstrate your areas of creativity and engagement by implementing a variety of activities which includes evidence based intervention and solution-focused work
- Become a primary support in helping children/youth develop preventative and responsive skills to cope. This may include supporting youth on weekends.
- Work within the CNY TFFC team collaborating and developing treatment plans to suite the needs of the child
- Demonstrate an inclusive practice both in the office and in the field to support a diverse and accepting culture
- Provide safe and timely transportation of youth to their appointments
- Supervise family visitations, including providing support to youth as they prepare for an process visitation
- Carry a small caseload providing skills training to assigned youth.

Experience and Skills
- High school diploma or GED with at least 1 year of experience working with families and children
- Valid NYS Driver's License required
- Safe and dependable vehicle required
- Ability to handle confidential material in a responsible manner
- Ability to maintain and uphold professional boundaries
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally
- Ability to work effectively and patiently with others in difficult and/or stressful situations.
- Ability to work within treatment models and acceptable behavior management principles to encourage behavior change.
- Demonstrate the ability to work well on a team
- Passion for working with children, teens, families and foster families
- Ability to work well with people from many cultures including recent immigrants, non - English speakers LGBTQ children, bio parents/families, and foster parents
Physical Requirements:
- Time on your feet for up to several hours a day
- Lifting up to 50 pounds
- Time driving to conduct client and family visits
