CDM Smith is the most widely used traffic and revenue consultant in the nation with exceptional respect and recognition in America’s toll industry. As a member of the CDM Smith team in the North, you would contribute to our mission by:
- Being the Project Technical Leader for Traffic Revenue and Demand Modeling work throughout the North Region.
- Responsible for coordination and management of the technical content of projects including driving the technical vision of the end product, ensuring the technical accuracy of the work product, ensuring the right technical skill sets are on the project at the correct time, developing and mentoring technical project staff, and coordinating all aspects of the project with our clients.
- Traffic and Revenue (T&R) and Demand Modelling: Perform traffic and revenue studies for planned and existing facilities by applying socioeconomic and travel demand analysis, conducting surveys, and other methods. T&R and Demand Modelling studies are executed at different levels of detail ranging from sketch to investment grade levels.
- Duties are anticipated to include technical analysis, overall task management, and QA/QC procedures.
- Advanced Data Analysis; Analyze large data sets in support of Traffic and Revenue studies and Demand Management studies, as well as in support of highway planning projects more broadly.
- Will be a mentor for junior staff by providing thorough editing of draft documents and QA/QC of deliverables.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban, Community or Regional Planning, or related discipline.
- AICP, PTP, PE, CEP, or approved certification in a related field. Or, Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban, Community, or Regional Planning, or a related discipline.
- 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or 9 years of experience with a Master's degree.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
- Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Stated Preference Survey/Choice Model Development, Application, and Analysis – Create, employ, and analyze stated preference surveys.
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Transportation, or a related field.
