Transportation Claims Executive

Lipscomb & Pitts Insurance, a Higginbotham Partner, is seeking a motivated and experienced Claims Executive to join our Transportation Division.

In this role, the Claims Executive will support the Senior Claims Executive and contribute significantly to the growth and development of our Transportation/Trucking claims services. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing for collaboration with a dynamic team from any location. You will be instrumental in providing expert claims support and advocacy, managing transportation-related claims, and ensuring our clients receive exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Claims Management: Effectively monitor and provide consultation on a variety of transportation-related claims, ensuring timely and accurate processing by the insurance carrier.
• Client Support: Act as a primary point of contact for clients, providing guidance on claims-related issues, policy interpretations, and coverage inquiries.
• Policy Review: Analyze and interpret policy language to offer professional opinions on coverage, settlements, and reserve practices.
• Issue Resolution: Address and resolve disputes or denials by carriers, providing expert advice and consultation to clients.
• Litigation Support: Monitor and consult on litigation claims, including pre-litigation requests and demands.
• Data Analysis: Utilize proficiency in Excel to produce charts, presentations, and conduct loss analysis for client accounts.
• Independent Work: Operate both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
• Client Service Planning: Efficiently calendar and implement client service plans.

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of transportation insurance and claims.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.

Experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in property & casualty claims, with a focus on transportation/trucking.
• Experience with carrier, agency, or third-party administrator claims preferred.
• Completion of insurance designations are desired but not required.

Location:

• Onsite in Memphis, TN; Chattanooga, TN; Nashville, TN; or remote positions available
