Transportation Aide / Central Supply

The Central Supply Clerk maintains accurate inventory of all times located in Central Supply and in each nursing unit.

Responsibilities

• Collect and fill supply requisitions and deliver to the unit
• With supervisor's approval, order supplies from designated vendows
• Recieve supply shipments and route packing slips to appropriate department heads
• Maintain an organized and neat storage area
• Maintain accurate inventory records
• Must demonstate empathy, courteous, kind, and professional workplace behavior and customer services to all residents, care team members, vendors, visitors, and family members at all times
• Attends all mandatory in services; and completes timely all necessary Relias training necessary policies, provedures, and business practices within the scope of the postion held to effectively perform all duties assigned.
• Perform other tasks as assigned within the scaope of work.
• Escort patients/residents from assigned rooms to and from vehicles and appointments as needed
• Drive facility vehicles to transport patients/residents to and from appointments, and report any incidents, accidents, changes in patient’s/resident’s condition, requests, problems, and complaints to nursing staff.

Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma, vocational training, or equivalent
• One year experience in shipping and recieving preferred
• Prior experience transporting patient’s/ residents for a hospital or nursing home is preferred
• Must be able to operate a transport vehicle
• Must have a valid unencumbered driver’s license in the state of operation
• CNA certification preferred, in good standing in Indiana
