About the role

Unlock Technologies is seeking a Transaction Specialist, a pivotal role within our team dedicated to managing our customers' individual files with expertise and precision. As a Transaction Specialist, you will be essential in ensuring that every customer transaction is conducted legally, efficiently, and with the highest level of diligence and attention to detail. Your role involves understanding and executing the necessary requirements to manage and close customer files effectively, contributing significantly to the seamless customer experience and fostering sustained loyalty. This position demands a candidate who can navigate the complexities of our services with exceptional time management and a meticulous approach to each task. Your contribution will be key to maintaining the high standard of service that defines the Unlock experience and in driving the continued loyalty of our customers.

  • You'll report to: Operations Manager
  • Location: This hybrid role is based in our Tempe, AZ office. Initially, full in-office attendance is required Monday through Friday during the training phase. Post-training (90 days), you'll have the option to work from home two days per week.

What you'll do

  • Conduct thorough reviews of incoming files for compliance, accuracy, and completeness, contributing significantly to client transaction integrity and success.
  • Undertake meticulous title reviews and closings, resolving any discrepancies to ensure smooth and lawful completion of transactions.
  • Analyze financial documents and credit reports accurately, drawing meaningful conclusions to influence transaction decisions.
  • Maintain active communication with internal teams to ensure alignment and collaborative problem-solving, promoting a culture of transparency and support.
  • Prioritize and manage tasks effectively within Unlock's technological frameworks, ensuring efficient process flow and adherence to tight deadlines.
  • Work collaboratively with peers to overcome challenges, fostering a supportive work environment and enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Consistently achieve and aim to surpass established SLAs, showcasing a dedication to operational excellence and customer service.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across departments, facilitating seamless operations and a unified service approach.
  • Keep updated on regulatory changes and ensure all transactions comply with current laws and company policies, protecting both the company and our clients.

What we're looking for

  • Experience in a FinTech operations role, ideally with 1-2 years in mortgage processing or a similar field.
  • Proficient in PC skills, especially Microsoft Office suite, with the ability to efficiently process, analyze, and present data.
  • An independent self-starter capable of driving results without continuous supervision.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced, and dynamic environment, easily adapting to changing priorities.
