We are currently seeking Supportive Employment Job Coach/Employment Tech to join our team in making a difference in the lives of our clients every day. Summary of Duties
The SE Job Coach/Employment Tech direct and manage the career services as it assists all clients/consumers, and employer clients in the development of career education, career identification and search, and pursuit of employment opportunities commensurate with formal academic pursuits. Continually expand the client/user base and scope of services to ensure provision of the widest array of services possible to the broadest mix of academic and corporate clients.
Responsibilities
Facilitates/completes the career planning process with consumer's/client's using a customer-driven approach.
Maintains all appropriate records of documentation of consumers/clients placed in employment and compliance with standards.
Facilitates and markets employment services of clients to local and community businesses.
Maintains a thorough knowledge of therapeutic techniques, policies and procedures.
Secures job placement for consumers/clients in the community.
Negotiates with employers to develop suitable job(s) for consumers/clients
Assists in developing a program based on the use of work experience to effect a positive change in consumer's/client's work behaviors.
Assists consumers/clients in identifying behaviors that inhibit the development of desirable work habits and skills and develops a plan to overcome or significantly reduce the behaviors
Provides counseling and support services as needed to achieve and maintain employment.
Participates in team staffing along with other members of the consumer's/client's team
Educate consumer/clients about resume building, interview process, job expectation and professionalism.
Maintain regular contacts with companies for new job opportunities.
Provide job placement assistance to consumer/clients according to Oconee policies, and federal and state regulations.
Hold seminars on interview skills and job search strategies.
Organize job fairs, career programs, and other consumer/client activities.
Conduct research to analyze employment trends both locally and nationally.
Develop strong relationship with potential employers to build job placement opportunities for consumer/clients.
Maintain a database of available job opportunities for consumer/clients.
Interview consumer/clients to understand their career goals and accordingly provide career guidance.
Work effectively and collaboratively to achieve consumer/client placement goals.
Monitor and track job order status until they are closed.
Generate reports to Oconee center's management on consumer/client employment progress when requested.
All applicants are subject to provide a current seven (7) year Motor Vehicle Report and Georgia background check.
Pre-employment Requirements:
Previous experience in mental/behavioral health field.
Possess a valid driver's license
Submit to and pass a pre-employment:
o Drug screen
o DBHDD Background check
o No more than four (4) points on a seven (7) year Motor Vehicle Report ?
*If more than (4) points an approved DDS course to reduce points must be taken.

Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in providing job readiness training, job placement and/or job orientation.
Ability to identify goals, objectives, performance measures for clients.
Knowledge & Skills
Must be a self-started and work independently;
Must be highly organized and efficient;
Computer skills required (internet, word processing and spreadsheet programs);
Must be able to perform assignments with minimal supervision;
Must be able to comprehend and perform oral and written instructions and procedures;
Must be capable of adapting to varying workloads and work assignments on a constant basis;
Must have effective comprehensive reading skills, strong communication skills, written and verbal.
