 Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Manager of Training, this role will determine training objectives, curate and create technical training programs for Burroughs Supported products (portfolio of ATM, smart safe, recycler, and other financial transacting devices).  In this position the role will write training programs, including outline, text, handouts, and tests, and design laboratory exercises. In addition, this position may administer written and practical exams and write performance reports to evaluate trainees' performance. Will be using various training and diagnostic tools including video and merged reality in delivering training. This job can be in the Elmhurst, IL or Portland, OR office, hours TBD. Some travel may be required to customer locations.

Job Responsibilities:

Essential duties and examples of day to day responsibilities will include;

  • Design, develop, and coordinate production and distribution of written/electronic communications, course materials, and utilities/tools.
  • Perform administrative support for the Training and Support Services department which includes establishing and manage program scheduling, communication, and registrations for employees and service partners to attend online or classroom training for both internally and externally instructed classes.
  • LMS management including adding/removing employees, course assignments, class creation, records, closing and reporting.
  • Create/Run reports to deliver information internally/externally on a scheduled basis.
  • Research, collect, and analyze program evaluation data; prepare reports and statistical information on program participation, feedback, and results.
  • Curate technical training materials to support internal and external customer needs.
  • Provide Training Support to employees and external customers.
  • Maintain Training records and communicate student progress to managers as needed.
  • Plan, develop, and implement various special projects as assigned; plans, coordinates, and facilitate events, programs, and/or activities.
  • Create training programs to address skill gaps.
  • Research new teaching methods.

 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

 This is largely a sedentary role, requiring use of typical office equipment such as a computer, laptop and cell phone.

  • This job operates in a professional office environment.
  • Required to reach, kneel, stoop, climb and/or balance.

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments.
  • Prior training development required preferably using Articulate 360 software.
  • Ability to design and deploy field and call center training programs.
  • Strong knowledge and productivity in Microsoft Office and desktop productivity tools
  • Problem solving and analysis skills.
  • Team centered/work well with co-workers to resolve issues and problems.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Experience with editing video content

 Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 additional years of education in a technical discipline from an accredited institution or service school preferred.
  • Prior experience as a trainer, instructor and/or content designer.
