SUMMARY
Responsible for the effective development, coordination and presentation of training and development programs for Insuractive business unit employees to maximize performance and promote the company's product portfolio to increase company revenue and profit; and work collaboratively with the Vice President, Insuractive in a variety of sales training functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Training Program Development: Developmental oversight and management of the business unit's training program; Consult with management team members to assess and analyze training needs, research, plan, organize, develop curriculum and implement/deliver training programs for varying levels of individuals in the Insuractive business unit. Training areas include organizational and culture knowledge, product knowledge, practices and procedures for new hires and current employees. Design and write curriculum using a variety of media; Prepare and distribute training materials such as instructional material, handouts, evaluation forms, visual aids, training and desk manuals, and Standard Practice Bulletins (SPBs); Schedule the appropriate classroom and prepare the physical set-up of the training room.
• Training Program Management: Operational oversight and management of the business unit's training program; Consult with managers and supervisors to assess training needs and develop programs to match those needs; Develop and continually conduct analysis of training metrics for effectiveness and recommend appropriate changes, modify programs and update curriculum as needed; Maintain appropriate and required training records and documentation
• General Management: Work collaboratively with fellow senior staff to advance the values and mission of Insuractive and Senior Market Sales by participating in and attending appropriate management and administration meetings; provide strategic, policy and operational leadership.
• Special Projects: Work collaboratively with fellow staff to advance the values and mission of Insuractive and Senior Market Sales by serving on relevant internal and external committees; Assists with special projects/assignments as requested by members of management
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree Or equivalent work experience in adult education, communications, organizational development, business administration or human resources.
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a corporate or business setting, preferably in course design, facilitation of classroom training and employment performance improvement
Prior Customer Service, Call Center or Insurance Sales experience a plus
Strong verbal and written proficiencies of the English language is required and bilingual (Spanish and English)
Life/Health Insurance license within 90 days
SKILLS
Working knowledge of insurance services industries.
Knowledge of the general industry procedures, practices and terminology.
Knowledge of adult learning methodologies.
Knowledge of program and project management including outcomes, quality assurance, and satisfaction measurement and interpretation.
Knowledge of supervisory techniques to accomplish instruction, motivation and training of personnel.
Skill to develop and deliver effective classroom training programs.
Skill to supervise, motivate and train.
Skill in working effectively with other company departments, internal marketing staff, home office personnel and agents.
Skill in negotiating and problem solving to resolve internal and external conflicts.
Skill in the use of office equipment including computer, fax, printer, scanner, telephone system, etc.
Skill in the use of time management, project management, organization, supervisory and organizational leadership skills.
Skill in maintaining effective working relationships with other management members, employees and the general public.
Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook preferred).
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in a constructive manner.
Ability to approach and communicate with a wide range of personalities in a professional and courteous manner.
Ability to be patient under frustrating circumstances and demonstrate controlled emotional affect in difficult situations.
Ability to engage in effective interpersonal interaction, verbal communication and written communication.
Ability to maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail while remaining flexible and responsive when faced with multiple urgent requests.
Ability to read, write and communicate English effectively.
Ability to maintain all company policies, including all confidentiality and safety policies.
