The Position

Support/drive implementation and use of the training standards at Novo Nordisk US Bio. Production, Inc. (NNUSBPI). Design, deliver & evaluate training content across the different functional areas at site. Create and design training programs with area in line with business objectives and operational targets. Continuously improve and maintain local training program ensuring alignment to training standards.

 

Essential Functions

  • Lead execution of training initiatives at NNUSBPI based on Biotech & Rare Disease (BRD) Training Strategy and Training for Competence (TfC)
  • Support standardization and development of effective training through implementing TfC initiatives
  • Support development of training solutions in line of business to resolve business problems
  • Support the development of the site’s training structure and program
  • Provide communication, guidance and training to line of business regarding Global and BRD training standards/SOPs
  • Support driving network of local training supporters to enable knowledge sharing and improvement of the training system
  • Support, train and coach the Training Associates and Training Developers on how to provide area support for their departments to ensure robustness and sustainability of the training system
  • Apply general training principles (how to evaluate training effectiveness, how to carry out a Training Needs Analysis, how to assess which training method is suitable, how to determine if training can solve a business problem)
  • Work with areas to improve training activities and methods through continuous improvement
  • Participate in internal audits as needed
  • Provide and facilitate courses in training and operational training tools (i.e. Deliver Great Training, Training Outline Author, Job Instructions)
  • Perform process confirmation and assessments on use of training system in departments
  • Contribute to an environment where Best Practice is shared across the site and BRD
  • Participate in training group and networks across BRD
  • Perform all job duties and responsibilities in a compliant and ethical manner and in accordance with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations and industry codes
  • Incorporates the Novo Nordisk Way and 10 Essentials in all activities and interactions with others

    Physical Requirements

    0-10% overnight travel required. While performing this job employee work involves sitting most of the time with walking and standing required only occasionally. This position may lift up to 10 pounds frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. The ability to speak, listen, and understand verbal and written communication. Must be able to meet requirements for entry to shop floor.

     

    Qualifications

    • Education and Certifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, Master’s preferred
  • Work Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant training experience, 2 years in a GMP environment preferred
  • Experience in pharmaceutical production and working with standards
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, training and being trainer
  • Experience in implementing training programs
  • Experience in LEAN and continuous improvement
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements to training
  • Demonstrated success in networking and developing relationships
  • Proven ability to collaborate across boundaries and inspire and motivate colleagues
