The Training Manager of Resort Operations will be responsible for the implementation, facilitation, and ongoing support of Departmental and Corporate Training Programs for their functional area. Working closely with their Director and Regional Training Manager, the Training Manager will also act as a consultant for their resort to help identify training opportunities to assist in reaching resort-specific and company-wide service goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:
- Instructional Planning, Preparation and Facilitation - Prepare, plan, and facilitate curriculum, lessons and application tools that use a variety of teaching techniques to aide in the development of Team Member skills across a variety of resort disciplines which include Guest Services, Guest Engagement, and Facilities Operations.Facilitation of Corporate and Departmental Training can include Orientation, Company Service Culture, Job Skills Training, and Engagement Teams.Assist in the launch of products or programs across the resort
- Program Management - Manage onboarding, department trainer programs, safety committee, internship program, and other programs that enhance the team member experience from a learning and development and engagement perspective.Develop Team Members with upskilling and opportunities within various programs.Monitor completion/renewal of required compliance programs and licensing. Evaluate, test, and provide performance progress updates to Team Members and appropriate Leaders to ensure successful program completion
- Supervision, Partnership, and Consultation - Supervise Resort's Compliance with Corporate Training Programs/Initiatives.Work closely with department leaders, regional manager, brand delivery team, and Academy of Learning and Development to identify and recommend solutions for any obstacles and/or business needs. Incorporate program enhancements that address business needs and curriculum accuracy based on industry and company trends.Develop Local Trainers through guidance, supervision, and advice.Assist in creation of Personal Development Plans, Career Pathing, and other team member development initiatives to ensure Team Members understand the career growth roadmap.
- Tracking, Feedback, and Measurement - Creation of Feedback and Tracking Reports to tell a story through numbers.Continuous measurement of existing programs versus effectiveness and industry standards.Maintain Safety Compliance and Training Continuity through accurate tracking, planning, and delivery of programs.Delivery of solutions in a timely and effective manner to close knowledge gaps and create opportunities.Regular reporting of compliance, updates, and opportunities to Director of Training and Senior Leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills along with computer skills.
- Able to thrive in a collaborative team environment
- One year of experience in live classroom facilitation, public speaking, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook (Word, PowerPoint, Publisher)
EDUCATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Associates Degree or higher in Hospitality, Education, Psychology, or related field preferred.
- Professional facilitation skills preferred
- One year of experience in hospitality or Resort Operations preferred
CERTIFICATIONS:
- Certifications in professional organizations and discipline specific licenses preferred.
