POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of the Bank’s ongoing training programs.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
- Oversee all employee training from identifying external training opportunities to conducting training in-house. In-house training programs for all new and existing staff may include, but not limited to, the following: sales/referral skills, customer service skills, professional etiquette, cash handling, check handling, transaction processing and inquiries, banking regulations, basic navigation for software, and audit guidelines as they relate to the position.
- Assist management in providing sales/service/referral coaching which is consistent with the Bank’s culture.
- Provide continuing education for existing staff as requested by management.
- Assist management with annual competency assessments to identify training needs and ensure continued proficiency of staff.
- Work closely with appropriate departments in the development and implementation of training materials for new account and/or service offerings.
- Maintain open communication with branch and operational management to promptly identify new and existing training needs or work flow issues affecting productivity.
- Make recommendations to the Professional Development Committee for the implementation of new training programs or alteration of existing training programs.
- Research and develop improved training methods and aids on an ongoing basis.
- Serve as Administrator for LMS; ensure Bank is maximizing the system; share developments and notify Bank of updates.
- Track all compliance training and maintain accurate EEOC logs relative to training initiatives.
- Maintain Training & Education and Conferences & Conventions budget; reconcile monthly with data provided by Accounting/Finance.
- Maintain internal employee attendance and graduation dates for a variety of programs such as CSFM, Women in Banking, Stonier, Barrett, etc..
- Coordinate educational opportunities through the Center for Financial Training (CFT) and other institutions including course offerings, enrollments, and certificate tracking.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Completes all required compliance training as assigned in a timely manner.

EXPERIENCE: One year of experience, preferably in the banking/financial industry.
EDUCATION: A college degree (BS or BA in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Education.)
