JOB DESCRIPTION:
The successful candidate will be responsible for properly and correctly training, teaching, supporting, and helping new hires and current team members assigned to all Assembly Processes in the plant, to ensure employees will follow existing work procedures, safety and quality standards. The candidate should be able to teach hands on practices to the employees, developing their hands on experience, monitoring their progress, among others. Candidate should function as a change agent to help, guide cultivate a Continuous Improvement culture, promote 5S philosophy and be a true believer of safety.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Patiently teach employees to acquire hands on experience on Assembly processes.
- Teach new employees the proper way and techniques to do the job in order to eliminate / minimize injuries or safety hazards while maintaining high product quality standards.
- Ensure that new employees are following standards and techniques thought in class and OJT.
- Work with several new employees at a time.
- Follow up progress of each new employee.
- Conduct plant and safety tours as needed.
- Must be able to move schedule when necessary (4 hours early or 4 hours late from current shift)
- Scout and cultivate people’s interest and talents.
- Extensive knowledge on Assembly processes (manual and automatic lines).
- Excellent Attitude, attendance and punctuality
- Organization Interpersonal Skills are essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able communicate proficiently in English and Spanish.
- Leadership abilities are desired.
- Able to move schedule around to train 2nd and 3rd shift employees (when needed).
- Basic computer knowledge. Experience with MS Office.
- Individual must be creative, self-motivated, self-driven, fast learner, positive and able to motivate others.
- Disciplinary actions will be review on individual basis.
- Creativity and enthusiasm is necessary.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work with little to no supervision.
- Excellent verbal written communications skills.
