Trailer Mechanic

URGENTLY seeking Trailer Mechanics for a trailer repair shop in East Dundee, IL.

Job Summary

In this role, you will inspect, service, and replace trailer parts, including tires; check and repair the brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems; test all systems and equipment for performance issues and ensure that trailers meet the U.S. Department of Transportation's road safety requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBIITIES:  

• Perform preventative maintenance on shop and customer trucks and trailers.

• Troubleshooting and assessment 

• Parts repair and replacement 

• Inspection of trailers

ESSENTIAL SKILL SETS: 

• Welding 

• Trailer Maintenance  

• Tire Change

• Brake Change 

• ABS Work

• Basic knowledge of tools 

Pay Range

$20-$30/hour, based upon qualifications
