Pace Transportation Services is an industry leader in heavy duty truck and trailer parts sales, leasing, and service/repair. We are seeking out a 2nd shift Service Department Technician in Byron Center, MI to join our team!

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Evaluate and diagnose mechanical & electrical problems
- Welding & fabrication of repairs
- Examine parts for damage or excessive wear
- Repair or replace damaged or worn heavy-duty parts
- Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and tools
- Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance
- Perform preventative maintenance
Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED - Required
- 2-5 years' experience with heavy duty equipment repair - Preferred
- Completion of a vocational or other post-secondary training program - Preferred
- Trailer body and/or Welding and Fabrication experience - Preferred
- Having your own hand tools is a plus, but not all required (larger equipment/tools will be supplied by Company).
- Ability to operate heavy duty equipment
- Time management
- Self-starter with a great attitude
