About being our Traffic Engineering Manager

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Traffic Engineering Manager to join our growing team in either Seattle or Tacoma! As our Traffic Engineering Manager, you will lead business development efforts and pursuit for expanding the traffic department. Using your expertise to unlock new opportunities, you will be responsible for the expansion of clientele and ongoing networking, while cultivating and maintaining strong and positive relationships with our existing clients. Success in this position will also include fostering the growth of our team members in both business development and project management, and helping our staff reach their full potential.

Responsibility Highlights for our Traffic Engineering Manager

  • Lead development, implementation, and monitor the Traffic Engineering Strategic Plan, ensuring continued alignment with organizational goals.
  • Mentoring and guiding the development of team members regarding relationships with clients, marketing and business development, Project Management, and new or emerging business lines.
  • Manage multiple projects and utilize expert technical knowledge and traffic experience to organize and execute technical quality and coordination of a broad range of assignments.
  • Provide supervision and training to technical engineering staff; assign projects to engineers with timetables for completion; provide technical assistance and review work of assigned employees.
  • Prepare schedule, budget, scope of services, preparing and collecting additional services, budget monitoring and corrective action recommendations.
  • Lead coordination with agencies for obtaining permitting approvals and be familiar with local regulatory requirements and procedures.
  • Be responsible for monitoring project and business KPI's, including Chargeability, Budget, Revenue, Multiplier, etc. on managed projects.

Minimum Qualifications to be our Traffic Engineering Manager

  • BS in Civil Engineering or related degree
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • PE License

Preferred Qualifications for our Traffic Engineering Manager

  • 15+ years of experience in traffic design, project management, and business development.
  • PTOE License
  • Experience providing direct supervision to engineers and junior staff.

  • A competitive salary! The genuinely expected range for this position is $140,000 - $156,000/year depending on experience.
    • Compensation may be adjusted for well qualified candidates
  • 8 Paid Holidays & 3-4 Weeks of PTO (depending on experience; includes WA Sick Leave)
