Traffic Controller
Duties:
- Direct traffic at construction sites or events to ensure the safe and efficient flow of vehicles and pedestrians
- Set up and remove traffic control devices such as cones, barricades, and signs
- Communicate with drivers, pedestrians, and construction workers to provide instructions and guidance
- Monitor traffic conditions and adjust traffic control measures as needed
- Report any incidents or safety hazards to supervisors or law enforcement
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure personal safety and the safety of others
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Traffic Controller or in a related field
- Knowledge of utility locating procedures is a plus
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods of time
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
