TrafficControl Technician's (TCT) role is to maintain a safe work zone that ensuresthat traffic stays out of the way of other road workers. This involves setting up and taking downtemporary cone, signs, variable message boards, and safety barriers that showtraffic where to drive, as well as holding up signs that tell traffic to stopor slow down. TCT's must be aware of both the construction work and trafficactivity taking place around them.
Support
Set up signs, cones, etc. to divert traffic

Create a safe work area
Follow safety rules and regulations
Use proper PPE and safety equipment

Proper communication with team members, contractors, supervisors effectively
Customer Service
High levels of customer service to all customers
Preparation
Make sure materials and equipment are ready for the jobsite
Make sure paperwork is complete and accurate
Requirements
Traffic Control Technician Training
Flagger Certification
Positive Work Ethic
Reliable
Positive Team Member
Regularly required to stand/walk; reach with hands and arms; for up to 14 hours a day
Occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds
