Traffic Control Flagger

Purpose

The Traffic Control Flaggercoordinates and oversees Traffic Control, flagging and signing for all divisions.

Job Responsibilities

• Place signs, barricades, and traffic cones
• Follow all safety precautions to protect motorists and construction workers
• Coordinate traffic signals with construction crews and other flaggers
• Ability to interact with public and coworkers
• Ability to think clearly and remain alert at all times
• Strong work ethic
• Desire to learn continuously
• Committed to safety
• Ability to tolerate work in extreme temperatures and stand for long periods of time (up to 14 hours at a time)

Requirements

• Experience preferred but not required
• Able to pass a drug test
• Valid driver's license
• Clean driving record for past 3 years
• Flexible hours – Must be able to work weekends
