Opportunity

The Trade Compliance Manager, Exports will ensure the adherence of our global manufacturing operations to export regulations and Trade Compliance standards. This position involves monitoring, analyzing, and coordinating export activities to support the company's strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of export regulations.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with all applicable export laws and regulations in various countries where our organization operates.
  • Stays up to date with export regulations, tariff codes, and trade agreements, and provides insights to the organization regarding potential changes or impacts.
  • Manages and maintains export-related documentation, including customs records, licenses, permits, and certificates, to ensure compliance and facilitates efficient customs clearance.
  • Accurately classifies products and determines their customs value to minimize duty payments and assesses the potential impact on cost structures.
  • Conducts risk assessments to identify potential Trade Compliance issues and implements appropriate corrective actions and preventive measures.
  • Assists in internal and external Trade Compliance audits and provides documentation and information as needed.
  • Administers and monitors participation in trade programs, such as Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), and utilizes them to optimize cost savings.
  • Analyzes export data to identify trends, discrepancies, or potential areas for process improvement, cost reduction, or risk mitigation.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, customs brokers, and government agencies to address Trade Compliance concerns and resolve issues.
  • Provides training and guidance to internal stakeholders to enhance understanding of Trade Compliance regulations and procedures.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as international trade, business, or law. Preference towards candidates with certifications such as the Certified Customs Specialist.
  • 5+ years of experience in Trade Compliance or a related field, with a focus on exports. In-depth knowledge of export regulations, customs procedures, and trade agreements. Proficiency in using Trade Compliance software and tools.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The salary range for this position is $96,300 - $122,300. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
