Reports To: Facilities Maintenance Supervisor
Position Location: US Army Camp Parks Reserve Forces Training Area, Dublin, California
Workdays/Time: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am- 4:30 pm, Occasional evening/weekend hours
Hourly Wage: $26.05 per hour based on experience plus benefits.
Qualifications:
- Must have a disability documented in writing by a physician licensed in the State of California as credentialed to diagnose and capable of diagnosing the specific disability, or a written certification of disability by a California State rehabilitation agency.
- Must pass a government security clearance background investigation and subsequent criminal background checks and not be subject to revocation of facility access during employment.
- Possess a valid California Driver’s license valid for the operation of any combination of vehicles, mechanical attachments, or comparable farm or highway equipment.
- 2 to 3 years' experience operating heavy duty such as tractors, flails, mowing equipment, etc.
- Strong communication, listening, interpersonal, and writing skills.
- Knowledge and experience in basic computer operation and Microsoft Office suite
- 2 or more years’ experience in the operation, maintenance, and servicing heavy duty machines, material handling, and utilizing various power tools and equipment, construction type equipment includes but is not limited to: forklifts, tractors, bulldozers, flails, front-end loaders, graders, earth-moving and heavy construction equipment associated with lawn and ground maintenance.
- 2 or more years’ experience and knowledge in leveling and preparation of land, ditching, disking, fertilizing, grading, and other related road and ground maintenance operations.
Duties:
Performs daily and routine tasks associated with heavy-duty lawn and ground maintenance i.e., mowing, scraping, weed abatement, weed eating and trimming, tree trimming, road repair, and maintenance in support of the Army Base. Operate equipment while implementing safely and effectively; along with performing routine maintenance and adjustments. Perform basic and routine maintenance and reporting; along with record keeping of all equipment repairs. Manual labor associated with the daily maintenance and repair of government-owned facilities and equipment. Perform various other tasks associated with relocating, moving, and transporting equipment, materials, property, dumpsters, and other duties associated with facility and ground maintenance operations. Moderate moving and transporting items up to 40 pounds unassisted and occasionally moving or maneuvering heavier items with the assistance of lifting devices or other workers; moving oneself about the work area as needed. Additional tasks directed by Supervisors and Project Managers deemed necessary, and as business needs dictate.
Training:
Comprehensive training is provided to all workers. Job assignments are made according to entry skills and/or successful completion of various elements of the training program. Entry-level job assignments will normally be within the category of routine work.

Work will be performed indoors and outdoors at the US Army Camp Parks Reserve Forces Training Area in Dublin, California.
