Oversees and coordinates the TPD Professional Development Academy (TPD-PDA) training/education programs. Work involves providing technical and consultative assistance and support for agency staff regarding TPD educational and training programs. Work may require contact with private or government entities and the public. Employees at this level establish their own work plan and priorities to meet set objectives. Issues are rarely referred to the supervisor but are handled at the occurrence.
Essential Duties:
- Identifies potential project risks and difficulties and designs strategies to mitigate or avoid them.
- Designs and develops educational programs, initiatives, and interventions aligned with the program's goals and objectives.
- Creates innovative and culturally relevant curriculum materials, resources, and instructional strategies tailored to diverse learner needs.
- Provides training, workshops, and professional development sessions for educators, administrators, and community stakeholders to enhance their skills and knowledge in education-related areas.
- Collects, analyze, and interpret data to assess the effectiveness of educational interventions.
- Collaborates with educational and professional institutions, other districts, divisions, and sections to foster partnerships and promote collective action toward improving education outcomes
- Establishes long-range program objectives and specifies strategies and actions to achieve objectives.
- Leads and/or participates in developing corrective action plans for programs that are identified as out of compliance with established policies or processes.
- Evaluates and identifies industry developments and best practices and makes recommendations for education and training program improvements.
- Evaluates and identifies education and training program improvements to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
- Develops and tracks contract budget and deliverables related to the educational and training programs and evaluates the quality of the services and deliverables provided.
- Develops course curriculum and other educational materials.
- Determines the methodology and delivery of educational courses and delivers training.
- Serves as a project lead by managing interim projects; distributing project-related work assignments; and evaluating project team members for the duration of the project.
- Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in any discipline. Relevant work experience may be substituted for degree on a year per year basis. Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications
Experience: 3 years of experience in training, adult education, staff development facilitator, and/or coordinating educational/training programs or related activities. (Experience can be satisfied by fulltime or prorated parttime equivalent). Related graduate level education may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis.
Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver’s license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications:
- An advance degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Education.
- 3 years of technical training.
- Experience in the public sector, especially roles involving coordination with educational and governmental organizations.
- Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate (ADDIE) and/or Successive Approximation Model (SAM) experience.
- Experience in Development and Implementation of extensive training plans with various categories.
- Certified Professional in Training Management (CPTM), Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD), formerly CPLP certifications.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Sedentary work: Lift up to 10 lbs at a time and occasionally carry files/small tools
