Tow Truck Driver/Operator

JOB DESCRIPTION

• EXPERIENCE IS A MUST!!! . Seeking a RELIABLE, FRIENDLY, POSITIVE ATTITUDE, and HARD WORKING individual for full time Tow Truck operator position. Experience is a Must!!!!!!!!

QUALIFICATIONS

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent
• 10 plus years driving experience (1-2 years towing /car hauling experience)
• Professional appearance
• Good communication skills
• Dependability & Punctuality is top priority.
• Detailed oriented and organized
• CLEAN DRIVING RECORD!!!!!!!
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted
• Must be knowledgeable of the Greater Atlanta area / own a phone with GPS
• Successfully complete DOT health and drug screening (pre-employment and ongoing), Clean MVR (3 year), criminal background check.
• Possession of a Valid Drivers License (NON CDL & CDL ACCEPTED!! )
• Possess and use good interpersonal and conflict management skills to handle difficult situations, while also having the ability to interact well with vendors, and co-workers in a positive and constructive manner.
• Experience using tablets or electronic devices to update calls, review policy and procedure and information, document safety records and other applicable duties
• Commercial driving experience with the ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle
• DRIVERS ARE EXPECTED TO BE AVAILABLE TO DRIVE MONDAY THOUGH FRIDAY

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for safely operating a truck with a capacity of at most 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) while embracing the elements of Georgia weather.
• Adhere to all safety and US Department of Transportation rules, policies and regulations
• Operate a Tow Truck to transport vehicles to designated locations
• Maintain accurate records of all towed vehicles, including mileage, condition, and destination
• Resposible of general upkeep of the inside of the cab
• Pre trip Inspections (ie. FLUID CHECKS, TRANSMISSION TEMP, TIRE PRESSURE, SIMPLE TRAILER MAINT, ETC).
• Verify transported vehicle information including make, model, color, VIN, missing parts, etc.
• Load and unload vehicles from transport trucks by use of chains, blocks, electric controls, etc.
• Secure vehicles and vehicle parts with chains, straps or other safe means
• Drive truck to assigned destinations using safety maneuvers to adjust vehicle at varying speeds in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather or in confined loading/unloading situations.
• Complete and submit all required documentation associated with transport including truck condition report, driver's daily logs (if required), fuel purchase logs and mileage logs in a timely manner

SCHEDULE

• 12 hour shift (Days) Home Daily
• Monday to Friday
• Occasional Weekends (Weekend Work is also available for motivated individuals)

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $750.00 - $1,000.00 per week
