Job description
The engineer acting as a Direct Responsible Individual will be responsible for:Defining and architecting solutions to solve complex open ended test and validation problemsDeveloping and proving analytical models to understand test system interaction with Touch sensorDriving strategies with multi-functional teams, including test, Algorithm, firmware, software, mechanical design and reliability Engineering to decode open ended test and validation problems into an executable plan and deliverableDesigning metrics and figures-of-merit to guide touch design and performance trackingLeading the development and execution of engineering validation and characterization methodologies for Apple’s touch solutions across different products.Architecting and designing HW & SW infrastructure for innovative test solutionsManaging vendors to implement validation tools, plans and infrastructurePerforming failure mode analysis with advanced detailed analysis tools to drive root cause diagnosisAuthoring reports and communications pertaining to key concepts, results and checkpointsBusiness travel (up to 20% domestic and international travel) to support product development is required
