Job Title:Total Rewards Analyst

FLSA Status:  Exempt

Department: Human Resources

Reports to: Director, Compensation and Benefits

GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:

The role supports the Total Rewards team in various initiatives across Compensation, Benefits, Worker's Compensation, and Leave of Absence. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations, conducting analysis, developing pay recommendations, and contributing to the design and delivery of compensation and benefit programs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain detailed knowledge of Total Rewards plans and processes for administering Loram’s benefits, compensation, 401k, work compensation, and leave of absence. Conduct research for competitive Total Rewards packages.
  • Administer workers’ compensation claims, facilitating return-to-work initiatives with work site management and HRBPs.
  • Administer leaves of absence (FMLA/Medical/Disability/Personal) in compliance with laws, Loram’s policies, and with Loram’s disability insurance carrier in the US and Canada.
  • Assist in the annual analysis of Loram’s compensation and benefit programs, responding to salary surveys, and conducting market competitive analysis.
  • Provide tier II support for HR Shared Services, handling escalated compensation and benefits inquiries. 
  •  Assist in the annual payment of incentive plans and merit, validating excel workbooks for allocation and processing merit increases
  • Conduct benefit overviews for new hires and assist in benefit enrollment.
  • Conduct regular data audits, process corrections in the HR system, and support the implementation of an employee recognition program.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on compensation for analysis and information requests.
  • Review cost and usage rates of existing benefit programs with external vendors and internal specialists.
  • Support annual benefit open enrollment and ongoing life events, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Provide analytical support for overall total reward offerings and manage paid time off for accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Support effective communication of Total Rewards information and stay current with compensation regulatory requirements.
  • Audit and recommend changes for ongoing compliance, educate HR partners and management on legal requirements.
  • Develop, document, and implement procedures for effective delivery of Total Rewards programs.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: BA/BS degree or equivalent experience; Human Resources, Business Administration, or Information Systems degree preferred.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of HR experience, including previous Total Rewards experience.
  • 1+ years HR system experience; Ceridian Dayforce and Cornerstone experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and cost modeling skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Must possess high level of discretion, tact, diplomacy, and professionalism.
  • Must possess ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills while exercising sound judgment.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Preferred Qualifications, Licenses/Certifications:

  • CCP or CEBS or Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification
  • Project Management Certification
  • A working knowledge of or ability to quickly become familiar with railroads, transportation, heavy construction, or combination
