Job description

OEC provides software solutions to those who work in the automotive parts and repair industry. Our solutions make it easier for automotive industry professionals to buy and sell parts, conduct repair research & planning, optimize estimates, improve the parts supply chain, and more. Job Summary/Objective
Provides editorial and technical support for the Total Loss Workbook product. Works with customers to understand their configuration needs, and supports the process of creating and maintaining business requirements in the product solution. Ensures required quality levels, expectations and timelines are met.
Key Responsibilities & Duties (essential to the job)
1. Builds and maintains strong relationships with assigned customers by understanding and documenting their needs.
2. Plans, reviews and/or revises configurations to meet customers’ needs and serves as point of contact during the editorial/implementation process.
3. Works with team members to ensure required quality levels, expectations and timelines are met.
4. Performs research to ensure business requirements are captured accurately in accordance with state regulatory Total Loss requirements, and creates and documents business requirements within change requests in order to comply with state Total Loss settlement regulatory guidelines.
5. Maintains state Total Loss and related regulatory reference material.
6. Completes quality assurance activities; verifies research and change requests are valid, adheres to business rules and are consistent in practice. Creates automated quality tests.
7. Uses editorial tools to implement form and configuration changes in accordance with the specific business requirements.
8. Provides Tier III application support for product.
9. Assists with customer setup and configuration activities as requested.
10. Serves as backup support for developing calculations on as-needed basis.
Education
An associate degree from an accredited college or university is required, or vocational training in business, computers or related disciplines. In the absence of a degree or vocational training, equivalent work experience directly related to the key responsibilities of the role will be considered as a substitute for the degree/training.
Experience, Skills and Key Competencies

  • At least 3 years of experience working with Total Loss insurance rules and related support functions.
  • Experience in Insurance or automotive industry, taxes and fees, case law, and/or regulatory affairs
  • Proficient in MS Office/Word Excel and DevOps
Must also be able to demonstrate the following skills and abilities:
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to easily learn new programs or applications.
  • Able to effectively apply principles of logical and critical thinking to investigate and gather facts, analyze data, articulate requirements, determine trends, and identify possible issues.
  • Collaborative work style with the ability to develop effective working relationships.
  • Can manage time and competing priorities in order to complete work assignments within designated time frames and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable with taking ownership of work and independently completing projects with limited direction.
